The hostages in the mall are multiple characters found in Underhell. When Jake enters the mall, he'll recieve information from a SWAT unit telling him that there are hostages within the mall. He then informs Jake that they have orders to rescue any hostage they find in the mall and evacuate them through the 2nd floor windows or 1st floor windows.

- These hostages must be either rescued or killed in order to proceed in the story. The death of these hostages will not result in failure, even if they were killed by the player.
- There are no female hostages in the mall.
